💬 Frequently Asked Questions – Deb Dress Hire
What’s included in the hire price?
Your $400 hire fee includes your selected bodice and skirt, sewn into a custom gown, along with side seam, strap, and hem adjustments. We make sure your dress fits perfectly.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 8 weeks before your event.
If you want to order a specific style, allow 4 months. A deposit is required to secure your dress.
Can I buy the dress after hiring it?
Our hire dresses are designed to be returned after your event. However, if you choose not to return the gown, you’re effectively purchasing it in full — and the bond may not be refunded.
Want a brand-new dress from the start?
We can absolutely organise that! Just let us know you’d prefer to buy the gown outright. In that case, it won’t be a hire item — it will be yours to keep, and you’ll receive a brand-new, never-worn dress made just for you.
Do I need to pay a bond?
Yes. A refundable bond (amount based on your dress selection) is required. If the gown is returned in its original condition, the bond is refunded. Deductions only apply for damage or non-return.
What happens if the dress is damaged or returned late?
Minor damages will reduce your bond. If the gown is heavily damaged or destroyed, the full bond may be kept.
Late returns can also result in additional charges.
What bodice and skirt options can I choose from?
We offer a variety of corset bodices and full tulle or satin skirts in modern and classic styles. Everything is designed to be mix-and-match, and we'll sew it into a custom one-piece gown for your debut.
Can I make changes after the gown is finished?
Changes discussed and approved at the beginning are included in the price.
Additional changes after the gown is completed may incur extra costs.
